What PathPlay does, how the beta works, and how coaching outreach gets done — without the hype.
PathPlay is a college athletic recruiting co-pilot for families. Athletes build a profile, get an honest division-level evaluation, and run a personalized coach outreach sequence — with a parent approval gate on every message before it sends.
The fastest way to get on the list is to drop your email into the "Send me tips" form on the landing page. We email an invite link when an opening comes up. If you'd rather talk to us first, reach out via the contact page and we'll add you to the next batch.
The placement engine currently evaluates four sports:
Each sport produces a division tier from the standard five: D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO, with a confidence rating.
Every coach outreach draft — each email of the sequence, every step — has to be explicitly approved by the athlete's linked guardian before it sends. Nothing leaves inboxes without that approval recorded. Every athlete account requires a linked parent or guardian.
The flow runs as a four-email sequence per coach, paced across the recruiting window:
The coach inbox at /coach/inbox lists every reply a coach sends back to PathPlay outreach, with status filters for unread, replied, interested, and closed states and a direct link into the matching outbound thread. Built for team coaches managing multiple athletes on one roster.
The Recruit page at /athlete/recruit is the committed-program picker. Athletes review the schools that fit their evaluation, choose one, and PathPlay records the committed school and division so the rest of the flow — recruiting status, parent messages, and the alumni directory — reflects it. Linked parents can view it in read-only mode.
Yes. The profile page at /athlete-profile supports a secondary sport and position. Any new sport addition needs linked-parent approval, both sports appear on the public athlete profile, and each sport runs its own coach-outreach flow independently so multi-sport families don't lose either recruiting track.
Yes. Each sport has a public hub with position grids, grad-year timelines, and a division-fit explainer, so families browsing before signup can see how PathPlay fits their sport:
The /contact page reaches the support inbox directly. Use the General, Support, or Partnerships subject line so it lands in the right place.
